Roller belt conveyors can be divided into three categories
- Flat-type roller belt conveyors

Flat-type roller belt conveyors are usually utilized for the transportation of light or medium-light materials in many different industrial sectors.
In the ceramic industry they are used – often equipped with vertical deviators – for the loading of storage silos and in press feeding lines. In waste recycling and treatment plants they are often used for the transportation of materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic and other light packages resulting from waste separate collection.
Concave-type belt conveyors can be used for the transportation of both light and medium-heavy materials. Based on their configuration (2-roller or 3-roller type) they can be used in many industrial sectors for transporting materials in powder and lumps.
Concave-type belt conveyors are widely used in the ceramic and building materials sectors, in the cement and concrete industry, in mining and extractive field, in waste recycling and handling and in many other industrial processes.
